アンダルタ（Andarta）は、南ガリアで信仰されていたケルトの女神である。南仏のヴォコンティ（Vocontii）やスイスのベルンでは、彼女の名を冠した碑文が発見されている。おそらくケルトの勝利と戦争の女神であった。
名前[編集]
ガリア語のアンダルタは、伝統的に「大熊」、おそらく「力強い熊」または「大熊座」を意味すると解釈されており、artos（「熊」）の女性形に強勢接尾辞 and- が付いて形成されている[1][2]。したがって、アンダルタはケルトの熊の女神アルティオと対になる名前、あるいは別の名前であったかもしれない[2]。
しかし言語学者ブランカ・マリア・プロスペルによれば、「この考えは説得力に欠ける。なぜなら意味論的に適切な類例がなく、複合語の内部構文が全く問題を抱えているからだ」とのことだ。彼女の見解では、この名称は接頭辞*h₂ndʰi- (あるいは *h₁ndo-)が分詞 *-h₂-rtó（「固定された、構成された、構築された」； サンスクリット語ṛta『宇宙の法則、秩序』、ギリシャ語 artús（配置、arrangement）、ラテン語artus『関節、joint』参照）[3]。
