アナトリア考古学博物館所蔵のヒッタイトの壁画から、神々に関するもの等をいくつか挙げてみる。
神に礼拝する王（King offering to god.）
これは「神に礼拝するスルメリ王」の壁画と言われているが、おそらく左側は天候神テシュブ、その右側が妻である太陽神ヘバトと息子のシャッルマと思われる。ヘバトは夫テシュブに酒を捧げている。ヘバトにはひげがなく、スカートを履いていることから女神だと分かる。紀元前19世紀頃
left side:king, right side:Teshub(Tarhunt or Taru etc.)
左側が礼拝する王、右側が天候神テシュブと思われる。
left side:king, right side:moon god Kashku(Arma etc.), he wears hat of crescent moon and he has wings.
左側が礼拝する王、右側が月神クシュフと思われる。帽子の頂点に三日月を戴き、背中には翼が生えている。

翼の生えた太陽帽を被っているヘバト女神

女性兵士、髭がなく、スカートを履いている。
Soldiers of ladies, they wear skirt and no beard.
男性兵士、顎髭を生やしている。
Soldiers, they have beard.
最高神が女神だということだけでなく、女性兵士の姿がみられる等、社会的に女性の地位が高かったことが覗われる。
