イユンクスはアルカディアのニンフで、[[パーン]]と[[エーコー]]、あるいはペイトーとの娘である。彼女は「イユンクス」と呼ばれる不思議な愛のお守りを作った。イユンクスとは、紡ぎ車にアリスイを取り付けたもので、紡ぎ車にはアリスイが描かれている。イユンクスは、ゼウスを自分やイーオーに惚れさせるために魔法を使った。ヘーラーは激怒し、彼女をアリスイに変身させた<ref>II. また、ピエラスの娘で、姉妹と一緒にミューズたちと音楽祭に出ようとしたため、鳥のアリスイに変えられてしまったという話もある<ref>Antoninus Liberalis 9.
