フィギュアは通常、精巧な頭飾りをつけ、杯やハープを持つものもある。また、頭部にループが形成されているものもあり、これは何らかの方法で吊り下げていた（お守りとしてだったかもしれない）ことを示しているようだ。
==See also私的解説 ==*バウボーはいわゆる「外陰部信仰」の女神と思われる。西欧の「外陰部信仰」はシーラ・ナ・ギグのように「境界神」としての性質があるようだが、これは当初からの性質だったのだろうか、と思う。むしろ、本来は女性の「生み出す能力」が人類、ひいては世界や宇宙を創造した、とそのような神話の女神であったと考える。女神の外陰部信仰を、男神の男根信仰に置き換えたものが[[Anasyrma]]*[[Dilukai]]*[[Headless men]]*[[Lajja Gauri]]*[[Nin-imma]]*[[Sheela na Gig]]*[[Vagina and vulva in art]]*[[Venus figurinesパーン]]なので、女神の地位は低下して「娘」とされ、下品で猥雑な面が強調されたものか。
