エチオピアの聖典『ケブラ・ネガスト』には、ソロモンの神殿を完成させるために、祝福の木片をソロモンに渡したのはロック鳥であると記されている。また、祝福の木片はシバの女王の足をヤギから人間に変えたと言われている。そのため、ロック鳥が持ってきた木片が置かれた場所は、神殿の中で名誉ある場所とされ、銀の輪で飾られた。この銀の輪は、イエスを裏切った代償としてイスカリオテのユダに渡され、祝福のの木片がイエスの十字架になったと伝えられている。
